Dysport is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows.

Frown lines (wrinkles) happen because the muscles that control facial expression are used often (muscle tightening over and over). After Dysport is injected into the muscles that control facial expression, the medicine stops the tightening of these muscles for up to 4 months.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into the area around the side of the eyes to improve the look of moderate to severe crow’s feet lines or frown lines between the eyebrows. This treatment is known for treating certain types of eye muscle problems, abnormal spasms of the eyelids, or preventing chronic migraine in adults lasting 4 or more hours a day.

Xeomin, like Botox and Dysport, is a botulinum toxin type A approved to treat the 11 lines between the brows and frown lines.  Xeomin is a “naked” neurotoxin – it contains only a single ingredient (botulinum toxin A). Xeomin does not contain any additives and is great for sensitive skin. Xeomin typically lasts up to 4 months, but many users claim it starts to take effect much quicker than the alternatives, which take anywhere from a day to 10 days to kick in.

Restylane-L

Restylane-L works immediately by adding volume to smooth away facial wrinkles. Patients recommended for this treatment generally have a desire for volume and fullness to their skin in order to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. 0.3% lidocaine has been added to the Restylane formula to help reduce pain and discomfort during the treatment.

Restylane-L should not be used by anyone with allergies to lidocaine.
